Student Evaluation

Upon completion of the course each student will be evaluated and these evaluations will be submitted to supervisors at DCS. The student performance evaluation will consist of the following parts:

Online Courses:

Student - Teacher Correspondence

You will be able communicate with the teachers either through e-mail or through a private messaging system on the website. The private messaging system works much like e-mail and can be used whenever you are logged in to your account on the website. To e-mail the teachers, use the address: translation@tierracenter.com. You can send and receive messages through whichever means is most comfortable for you.

Online Courses:

Online Forums and Chat Sessions

While you will each be studying individually, this online course will have a group participatory element to it. The website includes online forums where you will be able to write questions and comments and which will be accessible to all students in the course, as well as teachers. You can imagine these forums as a sort of virtual group study session, in which you can exchange questions and ideas, seek advice, and respond to your fellow classmates’ inquiries.

Online Courses:

Homework Assignments

Each lesson will be followed by a comprehension quiz and written activities, which will be the homework assignments for each week. You must pass the quiz and submit the written materials by the Friday of that week in order to advance to the next week’s lesson.
