Spanish Intermediate IV

Course Description: In this unique and engaging course, students consolidate their Intermediate Spanish skills through extensive conversation practice, interesting and level appropriate readings, and creative writing. It is recommended for anyone who has completed our Intermediate III level and would like the opportunity to practice before moving on to more complicated grammar concepts, and would serve as a great refresher for students new to Tierra who have previously studied the topics covered in our Intermediate I, II, and III courses. Utilizing conversational and dynamic activities,  this course reinforces the most challenging concepts students have studied such as the uses of the subjunctive mood, the differences between the preterit and imperfect tenses, and knowing when to use the various verb tenses covered thus far.

Taking this fun and interactive course will boost your ability to communicate fluidly and help you to sharpen your skills in all areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The class will balance reviewing important grammar topics and exploring the Spanish language in use through songs, stories, articles, and poems by Latin American musicians and authors, providing an engaging cultural context that will help improve your comprehension and expand your cultural horizons.
