Tierra Educational Center is a locally owned, independent language school located in NE Portland, Oregon. We offer small group and private Spanish classes of the highest quality for adults and children of all levels. Join us at Tierra for our 3rd annual “Noche Mexicana” on Friday, September 14th from 6-8pm. Across Mexico on the eve of Independence Day, Mariachi music fills the streets as locals celebrate with fiestas known as “Noches Mexicanas” , which also typically include folkloric dance, regional food, the re-enactment of “El Grito de Dolores” , and fireworks. Come get a taste of Mexico here in Portland at this festive potluck gathering - we’ll practice speaking Spanish, share our favorite Mexican dishes, and enjoy an audiovisual presentation and traditional music.
