Prices & Policies

New Student Registrants: To secure a place in a class a $50 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required, with the remaining balance due on the first day of class. Payments may be made in advance in full, if desired.

  • Regular Beginner-Intermediate-Advanced Spanish group classes:
  • 5 class credits (10 hours): $110
    10 class credits (20 hours): $200
    15 class credits (30 hours): $285
    20 class credits (40 hours): $375

  • Custom and Private Spanish classes:
  • $35 per hour or $300 for 10 hour block - one student
    $50 per hour or $450 for 10 hour block - two students
    First assessment and consultation session is free of charge.

  • Spanish Immersion courses:

Policies:

1. Tierra Educational Center offers high quality, well designed and progressive courses at different Spanish levels each with a standard duration of 10 weeks. However, courses are continuous which means that the level change is automatic. Students can join a specific group at any time, as long as they feel comfortable with the current topic and progression of class instruction. This will allow an increased flexibility and availability of classes that will let you set and plan better your learning goals with the Spanish language through our professional courses.

The payment to attend our courses is done through a simplified schema of class credit. You can buy credit for classes in amounts of 5, 10, or 20 classes. This credit can be used to attend classes from multiple courses as long as there is prior registration to the course and the prerequisites are fulfilled. The credit for classes that you buy is for personal use, non-refundable and non-transferable between students that are attending classes in a similar period or course at the same time.

Each amount of credit bought for classes has a defined expiration date counted from the first day a class is attended, as follows:

5 class credits expires within 5 weeks.

10 class credits expires within 13 weeks.

20 class credits expires within 25 weeks.

2. Regular Spanish group classes are divided into two sessions, with a 10 minute break in between. The Immersion Spanish classes vary in duration and structure. For additional details please consult our Course Information.

3. Classes may be joined at any time, as long as there is room in the desired class and the prerequisites for the particular course are fulfilled.

Make-up class Policy:

Though missed classes (up to three for each purchase of 10 class credits) automatically result in an extension of credit for an additional week(s) of class, no make-up classes covering a specific unit from a missed class are offered without an additional charge. If required, a private one-hour make-up class can be purchased at a discounted rate of $25 for current students. This policy does not apply to our Summer Intensive Courses or any other special program.

Referral Program:

Refer a friend to Tierra and receive $30 off your next 10 class block purchase if your friend purchases a 10 class block for the first time to start with any of our Spanish courses!. Your friend doesn't have to take the same class as you. Discount cannot be combined with other offers.

Refund Policy:

If you must cancel after you have registered, contact us as soon as possible. Deposits are non-refundable, and the remainder is refundable up to 72 hours before the first class. Private lessons that are canceled with less than 24 hours notice, or that are missed without any notice, will be charged.

Group classes require a minimum of 3 students to take place; in the unlikely event that there are not enough registrations, a class may be placed on hold until the minimum requirement is met. Students will be notified prior to the starting date and they will have the option to reschedule or their payment will be refunded in full.
